Last Saturday morning I headed over to Windsor Crossing to check out the opening of Marketown, a new outdoor market not far from home. I’d pictured a market reminiscent of Toronto’s St. Lawrence but it’s not quite there yet. At 10am there were no veggies yet only a yogurt stand and one jewellery stand but at 10:30 Natural Earth Organics was set up and I managed to pick up some eggplant, peppers, and beans (and ogle the heritage tomatoes). I try to buy local, fresh, and organic and this made it easy.

The website says they’ll be open weekends until November 2 from 10am to 6pm. I’m hoping more farmers will decide to sell their produce here.
