At the foot of the Leamington Dock you’ll find Burgess Refreshments. It’s been there as long as I can remember. I remember coming here when I was a kid waiting for the ferry to Pelee with my family. Sometimes we’d get some fries or ice cream while we were waiting and eat them on the dock.

That was a long time ago. It’s nice to see that some things last.

My mom & dad took us there for ice cream a couple times when I was a kid. I never would’ve remembered the name of the place but those were fun summer days.

I remember the fries were sprinkled with salt and something a little bit spicy — in retrospect I’m guessing it might have been chili powder?
