Canada Day, Labour Day, Victoria Day: someone in my neighbourhood loves setting off fireworks. Last night, after I put the kids to bed I could hear the fireworks going off for Queen Victoria’s birthday. The history of the celebration is interesting (though convoluted in terms of dates and names) but the sum of it all means a Canadian holiday and fireworks!

There may be more tonight so if that sort of thing interests you, keep an ear out when it gets dark.
