This Canada Goose is hilarious. I can’t tell if it’s washing its tail feathers or looking at something on the boardwalk really closely.

I’m not a hardcore birder. I like it when birds land in my garden and I like the kind of birding where I go for a walk and see the birds that think my garden is too far away. I guess you could call it passive birding.

He was actually just landing on the boardwalk from having jump/flew from the marsh a few feet away. He was just about to fold up his wings at his side when I snapped this.

It’s a great capture - whatever the goose was doing!
