Photographers need cameras

There wouldn’t be a BlogWindsor without the great community of photographers who live and travel here, snapping pictures all the time. Today we honour the equipment that makes it all possible. Meet Holga:

If you’ve got a hankering for a medium format camera then the Holga wikipedia page is a good place to start.

For $40, every photographer owes it to themselves to try the Holga at least for one roll of film. Yes I know there are ways to emulate Holga in Photoshop but it isn’t the same. Holgas are unpredictable. No two Holgas are the same. Even light leaks that appear on one roll appear differently on the next thanks to the poor fitting back (assuming it doesn’t fall off). Oh, and don’t forget to buy a roll of electric tape with that new Holga! ;)
