Windsor’s got music!
I’m not sure who they are or where they played but this sure looks like it would have been a cool event. I’d love to know what that instrument on the right is — it’s nothing like I’ve seen before.
*****Update! I found more info about this picture. The event was called “Love and Lament in Italy - Italian vocal and instrumental music from the 17th century.” It featured Jolene Kerley, soprano; Tim Shantz, tenor; Adam Wead, lute and theorbo; and Josh Lee, viola da gamba. The event was part of the University of Windsor’s Soundsation Series held September 16th, 2007.

To the musicians in this group: thank you for sharing your art with our community.
(Looking at this picture reminds me that I have some cds due back at the library. Public libraries are a great place to find free music to borrow.)

Glad you like the concert! I’m the lute player on the right. The large instrument I’m playing is called a theorbo.

Thanks for commenting and thanks for coming to play in Windsor. I just wish I’d known about it before you got here ~~ maybe next time.
