The community of Pointe-aux-Roches (or “Stoney Point”) is now part of the larger area of Essex County known as Lakeshore. There’s a tiny public library and a church and a lot of farmland out this way. It’s about 45 minutes east of Windsor, along Lake St. Clair.

Stoney Point also has a Coop, an important part of a farming community. See all those grain elevators? This is where your food comes from. Next time you eat, remember to thank a farmer.
