All of these creatures make their home at Point Pelee National Park — or at least they were there long enough to have their pictures taken.
Raccoons like this one hang around in the bushes and will steal your leftovers if you leave them alone too long. The park has also had to create raccoon-proof garbage cans because they are so darn clever.
I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a turtle in this position before:

I can’t even begin to count the number of barn swallow nests in the corners of the marsh tower. Point Pelee is an extremely popular birding destination.

Walking down the trails or around the marsh you cannot possibly miss the calls of the red-winged blackbirds.
